Things to do in the area

Bradford on Avon

There is so much to do here, often described as a ‘mini-Bath’.

Walking around and admiring the beautiful architecture, stopping off in quaint cafes to warm up, or pubs if you prefer – Bradford on Avon has it all!

Make sure you venture as far as Tithe Barn – again lovely architecture, but some gift shops too.

Kennet and Avon Canal

A fantastic day-out for walkers, cyclists, boaters. The Kennet and Avon canal goes towards Bath and Bradford-on-Avon.

Enjoy stops en route, whether it is to view the scenery or refuel in a cafe/pub.

Longleat

A fun-filled day out for all the family, particularly the young ones. Activities include the Uk Number 1 drive-thru Safari Park (watch out for the monkeys!), The Adventure Park, Shows and Events as well as the Longleat House and Grounds. Keep an eye out for their special events as well (Festival of Light, Balloon Fiesta etc). Well worth a visit! It is about a 30min drive from Church Farm.

Tickets can be purchased through Churchfarm at a 30% discounted rate. These are bookable online. When making the booking please specify which day you wish to visit.

Bath

We are extremely lucky to have Bath so close to us. Allow yourself a full day or even two to really acquaint yourself with the beautiful Heritage city. Here are a few suggestions of what to do/see:

  • Visit the Royal Crescent and The Circus

  • Visit Pultney Bridge and Weir

  • Educate yourself in The Roman Baths

  • Explore Bath Abbey

  • Pamper yourself in The Thermae Spa

  • Visit the oldest building in Bath – Sally Lunns.

  • Immerse yourself in the shops around Southgate, Milsom Steet and Walcot Street.

Have your say!

These are just ideas, so feel free to pop a message over with other ideas you may have for you and your family over the weekend!

Bring on 2024!!
